Can’t wait for my first jazz trio show at my favorite speak-easy in over a year! Joining me this night on bass is one of my favorite players: Neil Lewis. He’s an Aussie who teaches Russian philosophy at Georgetown U so you know the hang is totally fascinating. On drums is my old buddy Wes Crawford. Wes is one of the busiest drummers in the area so I’m extremely tickled that I caught him on an off night. Wes and I met in the early 1990s when we played in a killer jazz-fusion group called The Atomic Brothers with Buck Brown. Buck went on to be Nils Lofgren’s duo partner and Wes and I had a blast playing his original music … all those years ago.
The three of us played a private party together on July 4th and had a great time. Can’t wait to play with them again. Come join us!
