I’ve had the good fortune to be invited to work with a number of wickedly talented people. I love being in the studio. Especially on sessions that have a little breathing room. I can track organ, piano, wurlitzer (200a), synth, bass, and drums from my home studio. Hit me up if you have something that needs a little grease a oil. Below are a few of my favorite recording projects.

Greaseland Studio in San Jose, California

Our sophomore album is a lush musical journey. I wrote “Mississippi Moonlight” as a teenager crossing the big muddy with my family. When my children were toddlers I would sing this song to entertain them. They were the first humans I trusted to hear my singing voice.

Bobby’s a fabulous songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist. On “Rivals,” he handed me the song structure and said “go play.” This one was a blast. That’s the GOAT Tommy Lepson on the organ. I’m playing all the other keys.

Working with Baltimore’s punk icon Mary Prankster on this record and the subsequent shows was crazy fun! This all-star team includes Bryan Ewald, Jason Butcher, and was mixed/produced by the great Steve Wright in Baltimore.

Jason Butcher

Jason Butcher’s Better Days album is gorgeous and personal. The lyrics are emotional and raw. The story behind the album inspires me. My rhodes solo on “Ladyfingers” was just plain fun.

Working with MC/Guitarist Shun McGee is funky. He dreams big. He pushes all the boxes. Don’t sleep on the Black History Band. “Face the Music” is a live-to-tape version we recorded at Omega Studios in Kensington, MD with in-studio horns, strings, and percussion. Big thinker!
