This is a special one. For the first thing, I haven’t played with a group at the 18th&21st for a long time. But what’s special is the group: Eric Spaulding on tenor sax, John Previti on upright bass, and Nick Ruggieri on drums. Eric is one of my favorite tenor sax players in the world. He plays with Billy Price and the Greaseland Allstars. His tone is unreal. His phrasing is sublime. He’s gonna be a joy to play a jazz hit with.

My regular dudes from “Here Comes Bronson” are back with me. John Previti was Danny Gatton’s bass player and he plays on one of my favorite albums of all time: Relentless with Danny Gatton and Joey DeFrancesco. He’s a legend. Nicky and I have collaborated on so many things we finish each other’s sentences. He has a great touch and has an encyclopedic knowledge of multiple styles.

Please call ahead if you’re planning to come hang with me. Unfortunately this venue closes the music room for private events at the last minute without telling me. I’d hate for you to arrive and get turned away.

That being said - it’s a wonderful room with great service, food, and drinks. There’s a reason they keep winning awards. It’s a great place.
